Damage taken - what do those icons represent?

Hi guys,

I was sailing peacefully through the seas, feeling somewhat dizzy, 'cause for no reason I could live 64 seconds in just one

Anyway from out of nowhere two misbehaving planes went down on me and one of them naughty boys dropped something ugly on my peace-loving boat.

So for the very first time I could see some new icons but didn't know what they mean. Can anybody help me solve this mystery so I can with clear mind go back to joyful sailing?

Strangely in my printed manual that came with the game there is nothing about it, for shame!
