What can I say? Blue Max is a classic*.
Flyboys is a joke...but a pretty cool one. *except the book had a much neater ending.

Don't get me wrong, Flyboys had a pretty good idea and good graphics artist, but it wasn't the best execution. Still, pretty cool. |

I think Flyboys tried to stress that these guys were just basically have some adventure. Which to a large extent is true. But it really isn't a very "serious" movie.
Blue Max, on the otherhand is pretty heavy. George Peppard is a Hero of the Masses, conspired against by the "man". I haven't read the book, and maybe it's because I was watching Casablanca this morning, but I have a feeling it is pretty pro-socialist.
