Steel Beasts 1 Gold and Windows versions

Hello,

I just found the game (steel beasts gold) at a friend's house (he dosn't use it no more) and wanted to know whether it will work on my computer, one of them is running XP and the other runs VISTA.

I prefer running it on the VISTA computer as it is more capable.

I don't know for sure, but I would not expect SB1/Gold to run on Vista. Better try XP. If you run a HOTAS per USB and the axis' do not get recognized, don't panic and report again. Sometimes that happened, but most people got it solved, somehow (see their main forum). I must confess that I was one of the rare exceptions, though

Test the version anyway, it can be played with mouse alone if wanted/needed (some prefer that), I think you will like what you see, and when you can afford it you will consider to upgrade to SB Pro anyway.
