I saw that several people meantioned Red Baron as a favourite of their's and figured I'd fire a heads up.
It looks like Third Wire the developer behind the fun and highly moddable Wings Over Vietnam/Strike Fighters: Project are developing a WW I flight sim based on their current game engine. (uprated of course) Here's to hoping that this gives us what we flight simmers have been waiting for the last while. |

Atlease they've now modeled the ground opbjects which is hope will pump up the immersion of low alt flying. Altought the trenches seems to be flat and are not geometrical.
I like WoV much and it looks nice, but the ground is just flat which i really disliked over Lomac. I'm quiet a ww1 nut and this game is sure on my list, i had big pleasuretime playing Rowan Flying Corps back on my pentium1

I honestly cannot knock the graphics if it offers the same fun I had dogfighting in my Sopwith Camel. (which I just found out carried Air to Air rockets for Zeppelin hunting!)
Hell even the mission builder that came with last revision of RB I kicked ass. So simply to use and a blast to play. |
