strategic map sensor detection
Is detection on strategic map modelled as it is in tactical? And do all units start in the 3d environment at the right positions according to strategic map detection?
I raised same topic on steam but i guess the devs are hanging around more in this forum cheers |

It uses the same detection model, but map contacts are frequently detected in one of the convergence zones, so there is a decent amount of 'closing' factored into the transition between map -> combat.

so is this why the contacts do appear in tactical map sometimes on other positions than they seem to approach on strategic map?
