Would anyone out there be willing to create a small mod for RFB 2.0 which is covered in this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ssing+from+rfb It was added to TMO after the RFB Team disbanded. Would be a nice touch I think.

Are you able to edit UPC files with a plain text editor like Notepad? Do Not Use Word! or any other formatted text editor, this must be plain text.
I have been using NoteTab to do this for years, the free version has all the functions last I checked. A few years ago I did buy NoteTab Pro ver 6.2 just to support them. Many files can be opened at the same time and you just Tab between them. http://www.notetab.com/ I'm thinking that the main problem will be the Compartment may be numbered differently between RFB & TMO. So...... do a search for, "Deck Gun Crew" in the UPC file and it should take you toward the bottom of the file, count how many crewmen are part of the "Deck Gun Crew" in both files, then edit the Compartment # and CrewMemberSlot to match the RFB numbers. One member will be the Leader of course. When you can compare the files side by side this will make more sense. Don't add any more crewman to RFB unless you know what you're doing. You don't want a crewman floating in mid air for example. There may be a short section near the top too (I'm unsure about that.) Ducimus started with CrewMemberSlot 2 in his example, of course there is a crewman 1, 2, 3, etc: Quote:
Compartment 8 Compartment may be a different # in TMO. Just keep the RFB #'s as you move down the list. Lastly, remember that there are two deck guns (I think), be sure you copy from the correct gun. What do you think? Do-able?? |

Thanks aanker. It seems very possible to do. Unfortunately, I'm not very comfortable editing files of code. If someone with the knowledge and time could compile an RFB UPC with the needed changes, and put it in JSGME form, that would be fantastic!
