Why am I gettin' this message continously when I haven't even put the engine under any type stress ...

I need to specify a little more

I was in the first Tiger mission ... I started the engine and moved forward maybe 10-20 yards and then stopped and engaged the enemy

While doin' so I started to receive the message ENGINE WORN OUT

Whats the consequences of a worn out engine and can it be repaired while in game ?
