![]() ![]() ![]() Man this is B.S.: A MELBOURNE-based company is selling baby and children's clothes featuring pictures of evil monsters such as Hitler, Osama bin Laden, Ivan Milat, Ted Bundy and Charles Manson. The range of garments, in sizes from 000 rompers for three-month-old babies, to T-shirts for children up to 12, has sparked outrage. The Ivan Milat baby romper also has the slogan "Australians Just Love Backpackers". Other T-shirts include the words "Free Ted Bundy" and "Ted Bundy is Innocent", and "Serial Killer in Training" alongside graphic images. The Charles Manson T-shirt and romper has a picture of the serial killer with a swastika on his forehead. Other shocking T-shirts feature: DRUG images including a syringe and a spoon high-fiving each other with the slogan, "team work". There is also an entire Nazi-inspired theme of garments with pictures of Adolf Hitler and pro-Nazi slogans and insignia including a child-like Hitler android. Child Safety Commissioner Bernie Geary said he would be leading the charge to ensure the garments were not sold for children. The founder and CEO of international artists' website redbubble.com said offending garments were removed once complaints had been received. But last night there were still dozens of controversial garments for sale on the website, internationally recognised as a forum for aspiring artists. The site, which has 3.5 million hits a month, has 150,000 contributing artists and is run from Flinders St, in Melbourne, and San Francisco. The artists post their work on the site, which is not moderated. It offers automatic formats, including kids' and baby clothes. The founder said his staff had removed many images in the past few weeks. "It is par for the course that some offensive material may be put up, but it is removed immediately when drawn to our attention," he said. Mr Geary said he was disgusted by the clothing. SOURCE So 3.5 million hits a month. 3.5 million sickos, neo-nazis and other scum of the earth who contemplate putting this garbage on their kids. Unbelievable. Quote:

Its in pretty poor taste, but at the end of the day its just an un-PC kiddie shirt, there are far worser things in life to get more angry about. And you cant really make these things illegal or you open a whole can of worms. |

It's probably a tiny minority among the contributors who are creating this garbage. I am sure in years to come some of the sick artists who find these designs amusing will one day be sharing a cell alongside the scum they have slapped on their T-shirts and baby rompers.
The obvious and agreed upon bad guys aside, what's amusing is what is considered offensive can depend on your political slant. Some lefties will throw a fit if they see a George Bush T-shirt. Some right wingers will see red if they spot a Che Guevara one. ![]()

To where? news.com.au? or the Sun Herald from there?
No links in any article that i linked to that takes you to these idiot's website. Quote:
Well, all i can say to that is: if after reading the article people want to check out the real art work, if you want to call it that, and even maybe make a purchase or two and promote these idiots, then that's seriously f'd up. And in no way does that reflect upon me for highlighting this crap for what it is. Shame on them. |

A fairly large niche market in the South involves t-shirts with Confederate Civil War leaders. In a Civil War magazine I once saw an ad for a shirt that would get me lynched in some areas. It had a picture of Ulysses S. Grant and the slogan "Lee surrendered. I didn't".
