The things you never know
Once, years ago, I used to live in Kent, my parents kept horses in a nice little field in the sleepy village of Plaxtol. Living in a house next to this little field was a lovely old gentleman by the name of Mr Hodges, we would give him manure for his roses and he would always stop for a chat and comment on how nice the horses looked, I went round his house and played with his grandchildren. We knew he was quite important as he was equerry to the Queen...but we never knew the full story it would seem. Until my Dad sent me an email today....
It would seem that this lovely, well spoken gentleman was Air Chief Marshall Sir Lewis Hodges, who, sadly passed away in 2007. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/com...cle1290432.ece Quite frankly, right about now, you could knock me down with a feather... |
