Take off, head south-west and patrol the coastline and be on the look out for any Jerries. It was a lovely morning, soft breese perfect weather to fly in. We reached the coastline did our patrol, nothing the Jerry left our coastline well alone. It's still early in the day to tell if there are going to be any more raids by the jerry against our shipping but if there are any in our sector they can expect the lads of the 32nd to be around. ![]() HunterICX

Scramble! After our first patrol we sat down to have a cup of tea when at the sudden the order to scramble came in, we rushed to our crates and took off. ![]() ![]() ![]() We headed South West again, underway we where joined by other squadrons heading to intercept the incomming Luftwaffe. Just before the coast we spotted them ''Tally Ho!'' ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We had Stuka's and BF110's all around us when we headed into them, I managed to lay a burts of machine gun fire on one stuka when a BF110 shot me from my six, unlucky for me this was the end as my hurri started to smoke heavily, it was time to dive and get the bloody hell out of there. ![]() ![]() Thought my engine was damaged it kept going well and finally I reached the airfield, when I was about to lower my gear and flaps I heard a loud bang and my RPM dropped like a stone. I came hard on the ground and hitted a tree but managed to walk away from the crashsite. ![]() I later heard the news about the interception that we managed to shoot down 33 luftwaffe aircraft and lost 11 of our boys in the event. What ho old bean, James Smith of 151 here, good show on those Jerries! Me and the lads on Red Section have already been up once today, found a pencil taking pictures over Dover and sorted him out. Fouled up the landing, like you, bloody lucky to be alive, must get some more practice in.
Don't know if I'll have the time though, the latest from Control is that Jerry has a big raid coming in, poor old Jaunty is going to cop it again no doubt. ![]() |
