Would anyone be interested in participating in a Subsim Aces – Tonnage Challenge?

THIS IS A MOST TONNAGE CHALLENGE (not # of ships)

If there are enough players Interested I will start an Aces thread. The thread will be used to check & post your patrol tonnage for each patrol. There will be 5 Aces (5 top tonnage) for the week and one Ace for the month (Top tonnage for the month) and a Grand Ace for the three month challenge (Most tonnage for the 3 months). The Grand Ace will receive a Certificate from Uncle Carl and Bragging Rights.

The Ace Challenge will start on August 6, 2009 and end Nov 6, 2009

RULES

Must use SHIII Commander

Must use 90% realism or better

Must use the SHIII Commander Personnel file to report your patrol (Copy & Paste to the Aces thread if you are one of the top 5). Your real start date must be within the active week (no prior saved games allowed).

I will add 500 tons to your reported patrol tonnage if you are above 90% reality. I will add 200 tons to your reported patrol tonnage if you are at sea between 43 & 45.

I will monitor the thread and post the top 5 of the week to the top Ace of the Week & Month at http://www.silent-hunter-addict.com/...Challenge.html (go to URL for example).and to review results. If your tonnage is higher you will be bumping someone out of the running.

CHALLENGE CATAGORIES

Top Subsim 5 U-Boot Aces of the month (This could change daily).

Top Subsim U-Boot Ace of the month – Highest tonnage for the month. (Certificate issued by BdU & Player will be entered as one of the top 3 Aces of the reporting period),

Top Subsim U-Boot Ace of the reporting period. (The Top U-Boot Ace of the reporting period will be selected from the Player with the most tonnage from the U-Boot Ace of the month). A Certificate from Uncle Carl will be issued and BRAGGING PRIVILAGES given.

HOW TO PLAY

Check Subsim SH III U-Boot Challenge Internet site (Below) for day by day results for the month or the Subsim Aces thread. . If you have more tonnage then the other Kaleun posted there then post your challenge to the Subsim Challenge thread. With the following:

Your Kaleun commander’s rank & .jpg # and full name. (I will post the .jpg photograph to the Internet along with the high tonnage results) It is possible, depending on your tonnage, that you will knock another Kaleun off the Internet site.

Sounds like fun .. But alas I have to exclude myself...

I broke SH3 GWX3 SH3Commander- 94% realism.

The rules should definitely state no sinking of the same ship over and over.

Looking through the game parameters I feel there are some items that should be cleared up. What about all the possible mods...?....increased deck gun ammo, crew fatigue, number of torpedoes (u-boot type)....

No new campaign. Your 800,000 tons would be no good. The only tonnage that would count would be what you got for the week, month & 3 months. ex: I start a patrol during the week of Aug 6 to Aug 13 and sink 100,000 tons I would report the 100,000 tons. If I start another patrol during the same week and get 20,000 tons I would then report 120,000 tons as my high for the week.
