Default EDDG

Was a bit bored tonight, so I did this: FMO (Flughafen Münster-Osnabrück), which is my home airport beside the small airfield at Telgte (EDLT).

and more shots from the simulated EDDG that are not by me:

Cannot tell, because we cannot sticik to the old rules anymore. The last years, weather cycles were mad. but all in all, Germany sees relatively mild weather, and yes, it is a green country.

Horses from Westphalia are said to be the most robust and healthiest worldwide, because they are left on the meadows no matter what the weather is - and the weather here knows a constant changing between weather types from wet to hot that have a very much desired training effect on horses' physiology. That's why their bloodlines are so much desired to be brought into the horse farming of other horse races in sports. It's not the extremes we have (we have no real extremes, usually), but the constant changing between dry and wet, hot and cold. Maybe you can imagine something from that. Westphalia (and here: the socalled Muenster-land) is also the heart of Germany's horse-sports. Many Olympia-winners and world champions come from here, and riders from other nations (including the US) train here).

Nearby Warendorf (close to Muenster) also is one of the two centres of Germany's shooting sports, again many international champions are from this region, or train here. But this just btw.

I've been to Germany a number of times and, thanks to the Gulf stream it is very green compared to Arizona. Think of St Louis or Memphis or Minneapolis and thats about right.

Yeah, Germany is definitely on my "to see" list. I'm planning on taking a trip to England this fall, and after that I really want to go Germany. I really just want to go around Europe and go country hopping or something. Although the Arizona desert from the air looks beautiful, so I think I can wait a little bit longer for the Europe thing.
