The method described in that thread requires Javascript, so check your browser settings.

In the internet options go to Scripting and enable Active Scripting, then restart IE. If you have a software firewall or antivirus make sure that they don´t block Javascript.

Unfortunately there is nothing to do with Scripting anywhere in IE6 - Internet Options or any of it's submenus, maybe someone who knows IE will read this and respond, I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Thanks.

Go to the Internet Options, Security Tab, click Custom Level, there you find the Scripting setting.

I think it's time to give up!
Hi, thanks for persisting Gizzmoe, seems that it is already selected by default:
Unless there is yet some other place. Reece.

Check if your firewall or antivirus blocks Javascript.
Here´s a website where you can test Javascript: http://www.misitio.ch/ie/ie_all/java/javatest.html If Javascript doesn´t work the second clock shows 00:00:00. Last edited by Gizzmoe; 07-22-06 at 09:39 AM. |

As you said it doesn't work all I get is the clock showing 00:00:00.
I tried to follow the links but all in German & took me to a German Microsoft site & got totally lost, could you give a link to English please. Thanks. PS. I tried Google language http link but only errors. Edit: I run ZoneAlarm and Mobile Code Control is off allowing Embedded Objects, mime objects, scripts & Java scripts.

Here´s the link to Windows Script 5.6, it reinstalls Javascript and also some other script languages:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...b-95a22b832caa But before you install that clear the browser cache, then restart IE and try the Javascript testpage again. |

Slowly getting there!
I cleared the cache then went to the test site & the time now shows in the green digital display however the seconds are a bit eratic but I assume that is irelevent.
I tried to edit the title but still no go, if I double click to the right of the title it highlights in white or if I just hold down the mouse butten I can highlight the text in blue, either way any further clicking on title will just take me to the thread concerned, so I have come to a dead end yet again! But atleast it's a step further!

Not sure what you want, the link title I was trying to change was to this thread:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=95949 But don't see how that will help - totally confused now!

I have tried changing other posts of mine but can't edit any, editing the post title just may not be possable with IE6. I think you are running from memory a different browser.
