Default What was your first flight simulator?

I did a search and did not find any previous thread on this subject, maybe I missed it.

Anyway, what was your first flight simulator/game or helicopter simulator/game?

From what I can remember "Blue Max" on the Commodore 64 was my first, which I spent many hours playing when I was a kid.

Graphics have com a long way since then!

Blue Max

As for helicopter simulators "Gunship 2000" for the Commodore Amiga was my favourite.
There were several helicopters to choose from but you had to rise in rank to gain access to some helicopters. The Apache Longbow and the Comanche to name few. Later on you had command over a small group of helicopters.

I actually dont know their names. One was an Apache simulator and the other might of been one of the Falcon games. I stopped playing Flight simulators up until about a year ago when I played FSX.

The first ever would propably be something on Commodore 64, can only remember one game we had... not it's name tho. IIRC it you flew the SR-71 Blackbird in it.

Anywho, I was pretty young back then, so I'd have to go with SWOTL & B17 as the first flightsims I played and actually knew what the hell I was doing.

"Flight Simulator II" by SubLogic, for Commodore Amiga.

Probably "Gunship" by MicroProse.

Other flightsims I played back then were

Interceptor by Electronic Arts

Gunship 2000 by MicroProse

Falcon by Spectrum Holobyte

and Combat Pilot by Digital Integration

Those were the times with my Amiga.

Back then, all the stuff was new, had magic, was a promise of imagination becoming true.

Today, the most amazing games and visually and functionally stunning things - are just routine that you consume like a cup of mediocre coffee.
