Royal Canadian Navy to replace 'seaman' in rank titles with gender-neutral term.

Well at least we can say good by to the term discharged seaman but I suspect that will just peter out.

And no, I fear that is no joke. At least not in the EU. In many institutions you must expect sanctions and disciplinary measures now if you violate official new talk language rules in writing, but also in talking.

I told you all ten years ago or so that this thought-policing is coming for real. Many of you laughed at me back then. I hear nobody laughing anymore nowadays.
