WWII Pacific subs- recommended movies and books
Got nothing on search, so I thought I'd start this. These books have a 4.5+ rating on different sites.
Books United States Submarine Operations in WWII- look for used copies on Alibris (Out of print, Incredible book that the author took the patrol reports and made a narrative story from them) Thunder Below!: The USS Barb Revolutionizes Submarine Warfare in World War II (an ebook version is available) Submarine! by Edward beach. (ebook available) Clear the Bridge!: The War Patrols of the U.S.S. Tang DVD's Silent Victory- Submarine Warfare in WWII- Documentary Submarines: The Silent Service in World War II- Documentary Destination Tokyo- movie starring Cary Grant Operation Pacific- John Wayne Run Silent Run Deep- Clark Gable Up Periscope- James Garner Add your favorites and I'll copy and paste them here. Please limit it to US subs. You can post u-boat related stuff in the SH5 forum
