Hi folks!
Some days ago I was patrolling over England´s west coast, almost near the Atlantic. It was about 22:00h. I was at periscope depth when suddenly my sonarman reported a contact. It was very fast, but I was lucky that she was coming almost straight to me, so I was able to plot an easy intercept course. So I surfaced, made my maneuvers, and about one or two hours after the initial reporting, there she was: a big, large ocean liner!! After plotting the torpedo solution I fired two eels stern ahead and BOOM! One of the finest moments in my sub career so far, watching her explode! ![]() So today I was meddling with my career files and found this entry: Did I sink the legendary Queen Mary?? Tks!! [CampaignProgress.MisResult 114.MisKill 209] Name=_Large Old Liner#2 ClassName=PPQueenMary Type=109 Side=1 KillDate=19410120 Tonnage=81237 Long=-717040.187500 Lat=6283315.500000 Height=-9.600905 IsFromSingleMis=false FromNode=Freetown ToNode=Clyde |
