I was proper chuffed to find fsx and associated VFR software runs like a dream on my new (Windows 8) pc. May as well go ahead and get the icing on the cake, then (my old pc struggled, like most, to run fsx, let alone the addons).
"Flight Environment X" (by Flight 1 Software) installed OK; I had to manually set the path to my fsx folder, however. But there's clearly something not connecting up, 'cos I've still only got default clouds here. Any suggestions?

I've heard of REX, (I use it) but I've never heard of FEX.

![]() ![]() I seem to remember (could be wrong) that REX (is that "Real Environment X") is continually-online-updated weather for fsx? This FEX software is similar to that for fs9 (just cloud and water textures) and I think, again, there is a "Ground Environment X" package like the one for fs9; you can see textures from this in my screenshot of the Lindbergh Ryan monoplane in my Profile Page album; an example of the nice clouds in the fs9 software are shown in the Hawker Nimrod screenshot. Thanks for your interest anyway, GSpector...
