I have a pretty fresh install of SH3, HSie, Steibler, latest NYGM, Ahnenerbe's wide screen GUI. Only other mods are TMT,a small internal life mod and FlakMonkey's outstanding interiors mod.
For some reason on my attack map torpedo solution tracks don't show. Nice to see the effects of TDC/Spread Angle/etc changes. Where to tweak these on and off ? I have seen on videos icons showing torpedo location while in free camera mode, i.e when panning around you can see your torps progress after firing. Where to tweak on/off ? On the nav map I see the little shaded circles showing location of other units, the circles go away at higher zooms. I'd like them to stay visible even at higher zooms. How to adjust ? Finally, is there a way to get WO to give just ship ID and not other target data ? I hate looking at the reference manual, just not my bag. In a perfect SH3 world the WO would ID the ship after a delay of 20 seconds or so. The idea is to turn the WO on but limit his input. Thanks for any suggestions ! twgin |

Watch Officer IDs targets? I use Weapons Officer (WE) Assistance in the periscope or UZO view. there are three buttons. Left button IDs target. Center Button gives targeting information. Right button fires torpedo. Don't click the center button and you'll get target ID with no information.

If you open the commands.cfg (for whichever language you are using) and comment out the Solution to Target command, it should disable the WP ability to offer solutions.
For example: [Cmd344] ;Name=WP_Solution_to_target ;Ctxt=1 ;MnID=0x3F130003 ;Str=1074 Note the semicolons. Also, I'd make a backup copy of the .cfg file. Hope this works! T |
