getting back the music.

I would like to know how to get back those music from silent hunter 3 while playing ?

Cause it seems GWX3 disabled them.

Go to the files for Silent Hunter 3.

Then click data folder.

Then click sound folder.

Then click music folder.

Right click on music.cfg, click open with notepad

There, replace that text with this:

or if you want to fix in manually (in case things screw up)

remove all lines with "track1=empty.ogg"

and for each instance of "Track=" put the number of tracks listed under that set of code. So for BEGIN, change it from "Tracks=1" to "Tracks=3"

Also consider that there is a mod which supplies music scores from the Das Boot movie, it's nice if you like them!

But you mean we can have the das boat music while playing, so without using the gramophone ??

I have the Das Boot original filmmusik, with tracks 25-30 are clips of the movie, with sounds and dialog. I spin the disk in my CD player, right next to the compy. Which makes it easier for me to shut the music off if/when I need it quiet.

i dont want to do that way, i prefer to have them in game directly i have 7.1 suround headphone its better then cd player ^^


as i said i also have the das boat music but in gramophone file.

btw people i would like to know.

I have real sound of u boat from 39 45.

If i rename those file by the files from SH 3 and replace them in SH 3 data sound, do the game will play those new sound ??

I was speaking about the famous mod that use score from Das Boot for the "dynamic" music - the in game music that is played based on which the current "state" is (like in Gunnar post, there you can see the states).

Simply go in the Download section, under SH3 ans search for it, you can't miss it!

The funny side is that even if I reccomend it to other users I myself do not use it because, in-game, I do not want any "ambience" music, lol.
So I just downloaded the mod for listening to the scores when I feel nostalgic about the movie but I do not want to use 3 hours of my time to watch it again (I already saw it 6 or 7 times...)
