HELP a weird SH3 Commander issue

So today I fire up SH3 commander and decided to start a new campaign as i have been playing type XIs and did not have a type VII. So in my setup I select September 1939 and start SH3 blah blah blah get to the new campaign campeing screen and it is showing 1940 as the year with no flotillas available and when I press the arrow to go back a year it gives me a CTD. Any idea what is causing this issue? I am at a complete loss.

Maybe a dumb question, but have you tried to start a new campaign the 'normal way', in Silent Hunter III itself?

Is that SH3 with GWX? In that case you need to add some configuration files to SH3 Commander. There should be a download on their site for it.

Never mind i got it one of the lines of text in the static setting was mispelled. and it was hardly noticable. Though it doesn't help last time i edited the CFG was 2 months ago and was in the middle of 2 other campaigns and looks like this tyo was only affecting creation so no wonder i never found it.
