Hi guys
I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with the following? I want to print out my career personnel files. I can view them easily through SH3 Commander, but my printer isn't connected to my gaming pc; only my laptop. Can I save the files to a memory stick and print out that way and does anyone have any tips in how the files might look once printed? I'm thinking like an authentic 1940's file, if you see what I mean? Also can anyone steer me in the right direction with resetting the renown? I've changed something, but can't remember how I did it. So now I get all the medals to earn during a career pretty much after a couple of patrols and end up with hundreds of thousand renown points. Cheers Kaleuns ![]() |

Change your renoun in the patrols_0 file scroll down to the last patrol entry and change it there to what you wish and save.

Where is your problem?
In ...\(My)Documents\Personnel Files\SH3\Name_of_Kaleun\ you'll find your Personalakte.html and your Log_X.html files. Transfer them to your USB stick and print them as you like. If you want to keep/print the background paper, copy the background.jpg too. The files look pretty much as the original ones. http://www.ubootnet.de/Artikel/Krieg...453_Seite2.htm

The patrol_0 file is located in the SH3 folder in your Documents folder.

Thanks U1260
I found it as soon as I read your post. How I couldn't locate it before is beyond me...after looking for about an hour or so ![]() However I was looking for the file which has in-game renown values. I think I found it in: SteamApps-Common-SilentHunter3-sh3-data-cfg-main-Renown=500.0000 and SteamApps-Common-SilentHunter3-data-cfg-Main-Renown = 1000.0000 I changed both values to 1.00000 Hopefully I've done that correctly in order to have a slightly more challenging game to earn those medals and promotions? ![]() |

My pleasure Sir...I know all too well what it's like to look for something and have it there under your nose. Happens to me all the time since I like to tweak around with this game a bit (I do that with every game on my PC, lol!)
![]() As to your other question, since you've basically set your starting renown in both files to zilch, I would assume it would make it more challenging, but since we all what happens when you assume, I'll let the old hands here chime in on that.

However is there a way of erasing 'BACK' on the 'CAPTAIN'S LOG'? ![]() |

Open the file with notepad and delete the following lines at the bottom.
<p><font face="Times New Roman"><a href="Personnel_File.html">BACK</a></font></p> Then save, and "back" should be gone. ![]()

![]() I have found (with my type of PC games I play) that not only do I learn about history, geography and am encouraged to research, but also my PC abilities are forever increased - be it locating where certain files are kept or in the above case how to change a file into a different programme and edit it. I am always impressed with how much assistance is given in this forum. Thanks y'all ![]() ![]() |
