After a couple of years of being away I got the bug to play SHIII, last night so I spent a bit of time getting it all set up and running on my windows 7 machine.
At the moment I have a clean install, patched to 1.4 b and GWX 3.0 Gold installed and am about to set out on the training cruises because I hardly remember my way around the boat anymore. My question is beyond what I have installed, what "must have" mods would you recommend? (FYI - using a scale of Easy = 1 Complete Realism =5, I will probably be steering my install towards a 3 difficulty level) Thanks very much Steve |

That's a bit more specific than I care to get, seeing how different people's ideas on "realistic" can get. Also people's ideas on "must haves" can vary quite a bit as well.
Instead I will just refer you to this thread, and perhaps you can choose what you think will work best for you. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=170090 The only real "must haves" are JSGME, which lets you take mods back out if you don't like them, and SH3 Commander, which does for your career what GWX does for your game.

Thanks very much, I had forgotten about the mod enabler and will definitely pick up commander.
As to my question about must haves I fully appreciate the subjectivity of it. There is simply so much available to try I don't know where to even begin. I'm completely up for opinions, there are no wrong answers. |

I,as with everyone else here, have lots of mods for various reasons but 2 I would not be without are
1. Hitmans optics..have not found anything I like better 2.
