Default Any Oculus Rift devs here?

I was wondering if any developers were here who have attempted to get the Oculus rift working with sH4 or 5?

I honestly believe the rift will re invigorate the sim mmarket due to its highly immersive qualities.

Exiting times are ahead!

i am on oculus rift developer. Sadly i have been unable to get SH5 + Tridef working because of the idiotic Ubisoft game launcher that has to go before the game launches. So we are probably out of luck and never be able to enjoy Silent Hunter in virtual reality.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully with this new piece of technology the issue will be resolved for the next incarnation!

Not necessarily true. There are ways to get rid of the Uplay launcher. You just have to be skilled in the arts

You can use my Generic Patcher to disable the UPlay browser for testing purposes (your campaign data will not be updated though - game copy protection). But this allows you to test your device without the UPlay browser interfering.

oh oh i had no idea. Just looked up the tutorial about generic patcher.

Trying to get it to work. If i am able to bypass the launcher and launch the game in Tridef then there is still only 50% chance that it will pick up oculus mode.

Worth a try. Will report back soon

You're looking for the sh5.exe patch Disables UPlay browser located in Advances users. Enable all changes. It will definitely disable the UPlay browser BUT you're campaign data will not be updated (game copy protection). It's strictly for single missions and testing campaigns only
