In which interest/hobby of hers have you shown that level of interest?

it interesting. most of my friends and family think i am strange liking u boats 'games.' in the pub i try to talk about the real thing and i get strange looks or silence and its soon back to football, women, children, work etc. only one former girlfreind thought it was 'cool' to like and talk about u boats.

One bar I used to go had these three odd fellows. Gay shrink, nhl player and a submarine guy. This submarine guy knew everything about submarines, I mean all submarines. I got know these guys because at the time I played Aces of Deep and surprise surprise it was submarine guy's favourite too.

Reminds me of one of my fondest memories. Way back when I was in the navy (before some of you were born) I had a girlfriend who was going to UCLA. Once during a phone call she told me she was sick and might not be up for a visit from me when I had leave later in the week. Later she called and said she was feeling better, and I could come visit. So I drove to her dorm, knocked on her door and sat in a chair and, wondering if she was feeling well enough to go out for lunch, I just asked "How do you feel?"

The next thing I knew she sat on my lap, put her arms around my neck and said "I don't know. How do I feel?"

An hour or so later we went out for lunch.

I've never met anybody like her since.
