Spectacular footage of the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis

That was cool. In my youth we had to pay good money to see those colors.
Looking at it, and thinking about it, the only time we got to see pictures and scenes like that was by special effects in high budget science fiction movies, and now it's a reality. Quite a difference from watching people walk on the moon on an old grainy black and white TV, while holing on to the antenna so the picture would come in clear. |

It was so cool to look up at the moon and know that there were humans standing on it's surface looking back at me. It truly felt like it was the dawn of a new age.

Exactly how I felt. Well, not in '69 as I was in boot camp and not thinking much about such things. We did listen to it on the radio. But the later landings? Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly.
