Default Rowan Atkinson crashes his Mclaren F1

Quote:
Actor Rowan Atkinson cheated death last night after careering off the road in his 240mph supercar.
The £650,000 McLaren F1 spun several times, smashing into a tree and ploughing into a road sign before catching fire on the opposite side of the carriageway.
The Mr Bean star, 56, pulled himself free from the wreck and was looked after by a passing motorist until emergency services arrived on the A605 at Haddon, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, at 7.30pm.

I think he should stick to his mini

Saw it on the news this morning...first time I've been convinced of the shocked look on the Mr Bean facial expression.

Pleased wasn't seriously injured.

Yes, glad he wasn't seriously injured. Daft bugger. Nice motor though.

Well, after talking about his Mclaren F1 and being the fastest star in the reasonably priced car in Top Gear, he crashes...

At least he's fine!

Ouch... expensive accident.

Anyone else getting an "Web-Based Exploit Attack" warning on Dailymail? (I'm at work, and just got a Symantec (I know, I know, no choice) Endpoint warning on that site.)

If it keeps you from reading the daily fail, be thankful.

Homage to Rowan Atkinson, may he bestow the world with many more Top Gear lap records

A car that´s too fast for the road,
A tub, made of carbon and metal,
His car is faster than a vole,
Sometimes he shouldn't go so faster,

BLACKADDER! BLACKAAADDER!!!
As fast as he can be!
BLACKADDER! BLACKAAADDER!!!

HE CRASHED INTO A TREE!!!!!!!!!

I thought about his recent appearance on TG as well, he had commented on how he still owned the McLaren F1... not anymore.

I didn't know powerful autos like that were allowed in the UK. I would have thought the nanny state would have banned them

As the Italians say, Allora... I'm glad Rowan's OK, of course.

Expensive super-sportscars are wasted on public roads, by a) rich teenagers, and b) middle-aged men in mid-life crisis.

I'm reminded of a rich kid I knew from prep school who was given a Pantera and promptly wrapped it round a light post. In case you're unfamiliar, here's one:

The kid went on to become a lawyer and well-known author. Of course.

Why do people give kids with hardly any driving experience cars with several hundred HP? It's just beyond me.

Pantera. De Tomaso. I remember them very well. They briefly made F1 cars. Briefly because they weren't very good at it.
