Military prosecutor's suicide attempt

There is a discussion in Poland concerning not only the reasons why he tried to kill himself but also the way he did it/ 'performed' it.
If he put a gun into his mouth and shot through his cheek (yeah, it was a failed attempt obviously....)shouldn't there be blood on the wall below the Polish national emblem as well as on the floor?
He said that he was facing the opposite wall so that any possible ricochet would not hurt the journalists outside.
(disregard what is said in Polish/German)
