Default Everytime I get close to an enemy shoreline, I crash to desktop

I am running RFB 2.0, patched, with RSRD patched.

Anyone know what this is happening?

I'm assuming you have SHIV version 1.5 with the U-Boat Expansion Pack. What are your system specs?

CptLoonee, I think if you remove Real Environment SH4 you might solve the problem. RFB already has it's own environment and, running another is a general no-no. From what I've been reading in the forum (over time), adding any environments to the major mods is cause for conflict. Give it a shot and see if that does it.

hmm, took off everything, and reloaded only RFB and RSRD in order and still crash when I get close to shore. Usually happens when I hit the camera view.

What is that "Patch 1.5" mentioned in your install list? Don't you have the SHIV Gold Edition w/U-Boat Expansion Pack?

It's time to uninstall (leaving savegame data intact--there's an option for that) and completely reinstall from scratch. You have the game looking for a file that doesn't exist in your game configuration. When it can't find it the game crashes. Since you don't get an error message you can't fix it.

Even if you did get an error message, problems travel in packs and other conflicts would probably be lurking in wait for a situation when you haven't saved but are in imminent peril.....CRASH!

Only a complete reinstall will ensure the problems are gone.

After over a week trying to get this to work, I decided to scrap RFB and just go with Trigger Maru.

I have not regretted it.

No crashing, and the game looks great.

Ahh, I'm glad to hear you worked it out CptLoonee. That deserves a hearty salute.

@Rockin Robbins:
I'm glad to see you out and about again. Hadn't seen you around in awhile and was starting to wonder if you were OK.

Oh, I'm still around. I've been spending some more time with my RC Airplane illness and amateur astronomy and less with SH4 lately. I just have too many interests for my own good!
