Considering you can build a laser that could blind someone out of a maglight and a CD Burner I don't doubt this tank could be used as a weapon but it would violate a few treaties to do it.
BTW the time this tank came about Choppers started getting Laser IR Jammers to deal with Stingers. Today the US, Russia and China are all developing lasers that can shoot down UAVs and Missiles. If it can break apart an aluminum UAV I would not want to see what it could do to a person. |

There was a lot of talk and speculative drawings about the Russians using lasers out in Afghanistan back in the 80s. The Chinese have used one to screw with US satellites, so it's all here alright, but there's a lot of red tape about actually bolting it to a tank and using it to fry people.

Can hardly find any information on either the Stilletto or the tank that looks like something out of command and conquer.

Also boring a hole in someone's chest with a laser is not a legal problem, its only illegal to blind them with it IIRC. |
