Now I hope people will begin to see public transportation as something that's actually preferable than looking stupid in one of those . . .

I agree, the 2nd (Lotus?) one looks nice, but most of them look like roller skates for elephants!

Us Germans however prefer Messerschmidts

Reverse gears are for Sissies. The Messerschmitt Kabinenroller had it's own way of dealing with this.

Ah yes, public transportation. Where I live the buses don't run after 2200 hours, and don't start until 0600 hours, so anyone who works a swing or graveyard shift either has to have a car or can't keep the job.

Where I live the buses used to not run at all on Sundays. Now they do - once every hour. Fine in summer, not so much when it's snowing.

Where I live the nearest market is several miles away. Since I don't have a car I have to make several trips, on the bus, instead of just one.

Any more sage advice on the wonders of government spending?

Aye, Photoshop CS5's content-aware scaling tool no doubt. Great tool, keeps things from looking silly when you scale something down/up.

Made this in 15sec maybe, far from perfect but shows the function of the tool well enough. Simply scaled it sideways, note the pilot's head and the number on the fuselage aren't 'squished' as would happen if you'd resize the picture using normal methods.

Nope, it's Photoshop.

First post's order of photos:
Photo #1 - Look the top area around the car, there's no "motion blur" streaks like everywhere else.
Photo #2 - Look at the wall just to the left of the car, two identical shapes there. Also, just right of the car, the wall is squished.
Photo #4 - The side of the mountain just to the left of the car has identical shapes all over it
Photo #5 - The bottom left part of the wall is smudged, compare it to the bottom right.
