Default Jumping back on the U-bike...

Finally got around to loading up again GWX3 for the first time in ages, (my last save was in May ) right in the middle of my 2nd or 3rd Type IX patrol, during early 1942. Whoo boy... luckily I was already across the Atlantischer ozean and in the ED grid area.

After several days of tooling along my patrol route I ran into an unknown ship in the nether regions of the day, so I shadowed her until it became light enough to see. About 6:30 I was able to make out the American flag, and fired a spread of 3 torpedoes since it was just dark enough to still get a bad solution. After she returned fire (all 3 eels were solid hits, amazingly) I sent off an unnecesary fourth torpedo, just before she went under. Turned the boot back around and went on my way with another 15k+ GRT to add the the 18k I had apparently already used 6 torpedoes on.

After a few run-ins with aircraft (those PBY's are tenacious) I cut my patrol short and headed east towards Barbados to see if I could catch any traffic before I headed back for Lorient. (I didn't)

Not a bad start so far. I plan to sail for Gibraltar and patrol west of the strait for a few days, see if I can catch a convoy or two, or whatever traffic I can find. In any case, I will most definitely

BE MORE AGGRESSIVE!!
