Am I wrong in assuming that all ships that are on fire from bow to stern due to my attacks should have the decency to be slowed down due to the damage I've so expertly inflicted?
Does the SH5 ship damage model not take this into account? I would have thought a well-placed torpedo to the aft section would have a high chance of buggering up the propellar shaft, thereby turning a suitably damaged ship into a nice sitting duck? As it stands I'm sure all ships I've encountered so far continue at the speeds they were at when I first encountered them right up to the point they decide to sink ![]() |

Aye they stop just before sinking but they seem rather adept at maintaining their initial speed regardless of how much I pound them. At least it seems so, I'll look at it in more detail from now on as it's just an initial observation at the moment.
