Default Fish-eye effect on ATI card?

I'm running SH5 on an ATI 4850 (Core i7 920) at 1920x1080 and have noticed a "fish-eye" effect on the camera view. For example, if you are on the bridge and put the sun disk in the upper corner of your view it becomes egg shaped. It is round if in the center of the view, but becomes distorted at the edges. I have also noticed that trees are warped in the same manner. They don't stand up straight when they are on the edge of your view, but bend.
The sun also has very little glare, mostly just a plain disk. Anyone else experiencing this?

(These things are the same with or without mods.)

Hiya,
Got 2x4890's alas no xfire yet that runs proper in sh5

But, i have the same effect with the sun, not really looked for same effect on trees/land but will do next opportunity

I might be wrong but maybe it's to do with the game engine ??

That's a FOV (field of view) issue. It becomes more apparent on certain resolutions.
It can be changed in order to reduce the "warp" if it becomes annoying (from cameras.sim)
