Default Should I?

i've bought SH3. modded, loved it - like years after release.

Loved it so much (not being a mathematical type) i made an ass of myself at work asking the brainy types to explain to me vector mathematics.

Explaining WHY i want to know this made me look very geeky. Anyhoo; hours were lost and i love the series. however -

Bought SH4 and completely resented the dent in my wallet and UBI for months because it was unplayable. TDC didnt work, save games get corrupted (this has actually just happend again with latest save in TMU 1.9 but w/e).

I am about to have a boring weekend and 5 days off the weekend after and i love the look of the sh5 and am thinking about buying it but i dont wanna splash out £30 quid for a similar situation as SH4 was even weeks after release. it was basically unplayable.

I dont care about random disconnections. I just want to know that my plotting is correct. The thing that annoyed me the most in sh4 on release was that using the tdc didnt work for some reason (i cant remember why, but it got fixed) and stuff didnt hit. is there any fundamental game scenario that doesnt work at the moment that bascially makes the game pointless to play?

Is it going to be the same situation if i buy sh5?
I dont fancy pulling my finger nails out!

Personally I enjoy it. I haven't experienced the random CTD's of SHIV or the Dive planes sticking out permanently.
