Default Light ocean

Hello, I have a clean reinstall of SH3. Before I start loading my mods (GWX, etc.), I would like to know which file to make a copy of or what modifications to do to it so I can have the original uderwater light ocean because I miss seeing my victims bouncing off the bottom. I don't use SH3 commander. Thank you, much appreciated. I plan to complete one more early career in SH3 before starting SH4. This will be interesting because my father (87years old, sharp as a tack, and still walks 18 -27 holes of golf !!) served aboard the USS Lizardfish (SS-373) and the sub tender USS Gilmore (AS-16) during WWII. Growing up in the 50's we all asked our dads what they did in the war, and my dad , never self-glorifying, would always say he was the original "chicken of the sea". I know differently.

WELCOME ABOARD!

You should use SH3 Commander. It is without question the best tool made for the game, period, and as game-altering as any mod you can name.

Yeah, using SH3 Commander will enable you to turn the water clarity up to a figure of '20' which is pretty close to the original setting.

What I am really looking for is the data file which I can open and just edit the specific values that will give me the original clarity of the stock game. This forum has a lot of intelligent people who know how to create mods, which to me is an art form above my grey matter. If my request is possible, please post the solution. Again, thanks to this community.

Thank you very much, HW3. I'll plug it in after Thanksgiving and give it a try. This community is excellent. I'm going to make a donation right after this reply post.
