Default Meet The Newest Featured Writer For FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds' Website...ME!

FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds has asked me to be a featured writer on her National Security Weblog located here:

http://www.boilingfrogspost.com/about-us/

I have my own byline, "Notes From The High Lonesome", byline cartoon and bio posted there.

I am joining other contributors like author and NSA specialist James Bamford, NSA Whistleblower Russell Tice, CIA writer Phil Giraldi, DEA Whistleblower Sandalio Gonzalez, National Security writer Joe Trento, investigative journalists Peter Lance and Joe Lauria, Afghanistan experts Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould, Central Asian analyst and expert Mizgin Yilmaz and global arms trade expert Mike Mejia. I have submitted my first article to Edmonds for publication and expect to see it posted by early next week. I am incredibly excited and humbly honored to be listed among such a stellar group of writers. Check Edmonds' site out. She's talking to all the whistleblowers and they're singing like canaries. Next week, she interviews A.T.&T. Whistleblower Mark Klein, whose EFF affidavit I analyze for my first piece, and I have provided some questions of my own for her. Not bad for a Belen/Bethlehem/Bedlam boy.

Jim Oskins and I will have our book on additional nuclear weapons accidents and incidents out in January 2010 (hold on to your horses, folks). We've had some great success in the FOIA arena, while other requests were seemingly ignored or dismissed. The Broken Arrow accident list is much more than the publicly revealed 36 (32 by AEC/DOE/DOD and four more by FCDNA).

Much of this material has never appeared in the public domain, and is the result of our FOIA requests and searching gov't archives over the past four years.

Yours, Mike

Way cool. One of my upcoming pieces will be an examination of the Minot/Barksdale incident critiquing the final DOD report. I'm actually looking at being interviewed on the Jeff Farias internet radio show in the next week. If you PM me your e-mail, I can pass it on to Edmonds and Faria. Maybe they can schedule interviews around your publishing release date

Wow, congratulations! That's pretty cool. I'm impressed by the 'single-handed' reference to your contribution to the 1989 earthquake. I remember watching that one on the teevee.

Thanks Steve. That's why they gave me this:

I also received the personal thanks of the then-President of the company, Randall Tobias. So I asked him for a character reference so, when I got laid off, I could find another job. Considering he was one of the guys literally caught with his pants down in the Deborah Palfrey DC Madam scandal as a high Bush admin official, I guess that reference doesn't mean too much these days.

On a more serious note, I hope you're able to find another place to live soon. I've been unemployed since April, 2007 so I know the feeling. I'm just fortunate enough to have had some savings and hit these unemployment extensions at just the right time to stay in our house. Our prayers are with you.
