I am thinking about purchasing a Dan Wesson revolver that is used. I do not know much about this brand and was wondering if any of the other firearm guru's here may know if this is a good firearm or not? Thanks.

A friend of mine bought a pair for himself and his wife years ago, both of them are .357. He likes the interchangable barrels, but doesn't really like the feel when shooting .357, so his is mainly a target pistol, and he shoots mainly .38 with it. I tried it once, and the .357 is pretty kicky if you have small wrists like mine.

You might try Googling to get a low and high price.
Overall condition is IMHO the key to it's value. We have some pretty knowledgeable people here. |

They're decent revolvers, some people like 'em some people don't. I don't care about the Dan Wesson revolvers either way.
Post some pics of the revolver you're looking at getting, be sure to get good closeups of the cylinder, chambers, and if the shop owner will let you, the internal parts with the sideplate off.

borrow a friends digital camera and install their software on your computer (ask them for help if you need it, there's no embarassment in not knowing how to make newfangled gadgets work these days) and take some digital pictures of the firearm you're interested in.
Once you have the photos, upload them onto your computer and save them to your desktop. Open a photobucket account (it's free), and upload the photo files from the desktop to the photobucket account and then you post the links here in the forum. Once you have the process setup it's relatively smoother than the first time around.

F57: I have smaller hands, and the Dan Wesson .357 with the 4 or 6 inch barrel is a dream to shoot, IMHO. I took my sister out to fire it, along with my original 9mm sig and my .45 sig. She absolutely enjoyed the DW and we were firing .357 mag rounds, semi wad cutters. 240 grain jhp .45's and subsonic 115 grain 9mm.
If that helps you out any...
