Default I'm proud of this attack...

on a weakly escorted convoy, I managed to sneak in between two small merchants on two separate occasions to sink four Ore Carriers in one of the middle rows. On my side were the fact that it was a moonless night and the convoy was escorted by one destroyer up front and an Auxillary Cruiser at the rear. The screenshot shows how close I got to the ships in the first row of the convoy as they sailed behind me. The only time the convoy was aware of my presence was when my torps detonated against the ore carriers. I just love this sim .

Now that is close they must have been drinking heavily to keep out the cold or something...

1 question, why not bag the Aux. Cruiser instead of 1 ore carrier? it's worth like 16000 GRT and counts as a warship

Great job! But I too would've targeted the Auxillary ASAP as well. Particularly considering that ore carriers seem to be the most fragile ships in the game (or at least on par with loaded tanker/ammo ships).

Good question, the Aux Cruiser was positioned at the rear in the row furthest from my approach course. It would have been a difficult shot, but possible, however I decided on the ore carriers as they were moving straight in front of my bow tubes at under 1,000 metres. I took two out on my first attack and another two on my second attack. 20K+ GRT sunk in two attacks. I only had a stern torpedo left afterwards so decided to break off from the convoy and head for home.

We'll have to start calling you Otto Kretschmer.

I am very jealous. My night surface attacks have been so unsuccessful that I am convinced my boat glows in the dark or something.

Good show, anyhow!

Nice work, but I would have had a shot with the stern torp as I have sunk plenty of AMC's with one torp.

But that's just me being greedy!
