Sorry as the news is a bit old. Anyway, it is not a frictional plot, but something real - scientists successfully employed genetically modified baterias to eat up agricultural waste while harvesting oil. Will this have an impact on the soaring oil price?

I linked to that in another thread.

I don't know if it will affect the price of fossil fuels but it does have the potential to eventually free us from fossil fuel use, with the considerable side benefit of reducing or eliminating the pollution caused by agricultural waste runoff into rivers and streams.

I knew that we knew about bacteria that ate oil spills, but this is the first time I heard about a beastie poopin oil.

Lemme guess this bug only grows in the middle east?
