Found this rather interesting thread on the 1C's forums about who win the Battle of Britain, or was there a winner at all.
Here's the link for the website linked on the thread: http://www.freewebs.com/heinkill/booksfilmssites.htm |

I think forfeiting still counts as a loss for the Germans. The goal of BoB for Luftwaffe was to make Sealion possible, no?

Germany lost the battle the second they switched to bombing London. But I think they lost the battle before it ever started by not having a good long range fighter and a long range heavy bomber.
If they kept up their focus on bombing the airfields and aircraft factories (infastructure) they might of pulled it off. Now, whether the Kriegsmarine could have stopped the RN? Now that's the $25 question. Better luck next time.

The whole point of attacking the RAF was to gain command of the air ready for operation sealion. When the Luftwaffe failed at this they ultimately lost the battle. Not only this but Germany had left a well defended "outpost" of europe in which the USA would eventually build up force in preperation for the invasion of mainland europe. So yes, the jerries lost and us brits won the day!
