Default I found a pack of Dolphins in AN-44

I was doing a hydrophone check and I heard a strange sqeaky noise. It freaked me out but I remember there was mention of Dolphins. I had to track them for 60 KM! I'll try to get some screens up. Very neat though.

That is really cool man!

I wonder if they were the special dolphins that the US Navy used to disarm mines and what not. :hmm:

In WWII the only use for dolphins was to can them into C rations.

Mind you, I have had whale meat and thought it was very good.

Do they come in large packs or just a few? And are they submerged?

When I got close I was able to hear five different ones spread out. They swim just under the surface and go out of the water and back down. They look quite happy. You will hear a wierd squeaky sound. Great immersion. It is nice when not everything on the hydrophones is a boat waiting to get shot at. A nice "whoa what is that" moment.

Ok, so stupid question of the month, how do you do a hydrophone check? I can only ever get the sonar guys attention, I can't seem to man the Sonar Station myself, like I can in SH4.

Hit the H on your keyboard to toggle the hydrophone station on and off if you want to listen for yourself.
