Default What da Hell?

Last night was my best patrol ever. Got 8 cargo ships (3 were tankers). Returned to Freemantle in my Porpoise-class sub (USS Shark) and recieved the Medal of Honor but the medal isn't in the box. Did they take it back? During that patrol I was in some rough weather and sighted a merchie. I ordered the deck gun crew out and got this message- "Sea is too rough, can't man deck gun" or something to that effect. Then during my new patrol in the Gato-class sub (USS Drum) I get harrassed every few hours by Japanese aircraft. I'm playing the new version of TM. I added the Airstrike Mod but they still come in even under darkness. What's going on here?

There is a shortage of metal to make weapons of war. Your MOH will be available after you win. Yes, in rough weather you can man the gun but your crew will not. Other than that, I do not use TM and do not know if Duci had created some new medal mods or used one already created by another member.

Are you sure you are viewing the entire box?

When you enter the room the default view obscures the lower 1\3 of the medals box.

Grab the screen with your mouse and look down so you can see lower. The moh medal is always down at the bottom of the box and I can not see it unless I grab the screen so I can look lower.

If you already did that, sorry, they screwed you over.

It's not an issue anymore, since I lost my saves when I installed the new RSRDC. Now back to square one.

Bummer, that. But no worries, RSRDC is totally worth it

Yep! In fact I started a new career in another Porpoise out of Cavite. Got two new mission objectives from the new RSRDC. Was heading to the North Coast of Luzon when I intercepted one huge IJN Task Force. But those damn DDs picked me up 8500 yards away. One question- I have some of Foobar's skins, what year do the subs use this light gray livery?

I don't remember the dates, but if you don't mind copying a couple files around, you can make a skin that changes automatically whenever the change is supposed to be made.

For instance, in order to accomplish this with a Porpoise, you would need to do the following :

1) Copy the FooBor weathered or clean version to a new folder and call it Combo instead of Weathered or clean (i.e. copy "FooBor's PORPOISE MINOR WTH HI-RES V1.0" (without the quotes) and rename it to "FooBor's PORPOISE COMBO WTH HI-RES V1.0" (again, no quotes).

2) Copy the following files as specified (please excuse the code box to avoid inserted spaces in file names) :

Code:

FooBor's PORPOISE BLACK HI-RES V1.0\Data\Submarine\NSS_Porpoise\NSS_Pclass_T01.dds
to
FooBor's PORPOISE COMBO WTH HI-RES V1.0\Data\Submarine\NSS_Porpoise\NSS_Pclass_T01.dds

FooBor's PORPOISE BLACK HI-RES V1.0\Data\Textures\TNormal\tex\NSS_PclassTower_T01.dds
to
FooBor's PORPOISE COMBO WTH HI-RES V1.0\Data\Textures\TNormal\tex\NSS_PclassTower_T01.dds
3) Forget about dates and be surprised when you sail out of port with a new paint job

The air strikes at night is a very new and completely unwelcome experience for me as well. It appears to either have been introduced with TM 1.7.6. I plan to fix it tonight by changing the night strike modifier in air strike.cfg as per this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=129919

Thanks Digital_Trucker for this. I'll try it tonight. Thanks also Galanti.
