The new generation of Pakistani terrorists...

... has taken over from the Mujaheddin and the former Taliban.

As if winning in Afghanistan all alone wouldn't already be difficult enough (historically seen: impossible)...

No matter how small the chances are for the considered US special operations in the Pakistani tribal areas - without finally realising that Pakistan is no ally, but a centre of constant interference and support for the enemy (and always has been this since the early 80s), and without stopping to tolerate and support this enemy and completely neutralising this constantly interfering variable, there can be no victory of whatever a kind in Afghanistan, only endlessly ongoing war. The road to "pacify" Afghanistan leads through Pakistan. Without Pakistan playing no more role outside it's borders, Afghanistan cannot be "won".

Not to mention the Pakistani nukes in a constantly destabilizing country with religious lunatics on the steep rise.

Nobody wants to understand that in the West. One wanted a small war - but got delivered more than one could handle. Now on the side of the Europeans, one wanted a clean, precise operation with a humanitarian face. It should go easy, it should go polite, without blood, without effort, looking elegant like a sporting competition with awards for fair play, and even sweat on the uniform already is taken note of with a raised eyebrow. I can't say who has the greater illusions about it, Europe or America. and the omni-present hypocrisy over half-hearted actions makes me sick.

Either one starts to understand that Pakistan is an enemy and always has been, or one can leave Afghanistan behind and pull out. What there is being done now is nothing half and nothing full. It only delays the final blamage of the Western nations envolved there - but not forever.

All, or nothing at all. - When will leaders in the Western capitols start to understand that ?
