Hey I was VERY skeptical about trying these "hacked" drivers but I did and I was pleasantly surprised!

5-10 increase in FPS in all views!!!

Even the enhanced wake effects of ROW now display at 30+ FPS on my rig. I usually was lucky to top 20.

I have an x1950 Pro 512mb AGP. Give these a try. You will be pleased.

I guess they should have made SH4 an open boat where we run around inside and shoot each other a 1000 times. They seem to handle those games with numerous patches. --Longam UBI SHIV Forums

A sad day has dawned...

Unfortunately, no...

The sun glare problem is the fault of ATI or the devs. Most likely the devs since my 1950 displays all effects just fine in my other games.

Anyhow, you will enjoy the increase in FPS these drivers bring though.

I have mixed feeling so far with these drivers. I like the customization and overclocking capabilities, but my first run with SH4 was disheartening. I actually had a significant framerate drop, from 17-20 FPS to 10-12! I did a second test run later on (after I had to hard reset my computer because Sid Meier's Railroads caused another lockup - stay away from that game, it's by far the worst game Sid has ever released!), and my framerate was back to normal. It'll take some time before I load up the game again, partly because of Dave's passing, but also because my g/f will be needing the computer for her studies, so the final verdict won't be out for a while.

Get a newer version of Ati Tray tools. The one that comes with Omega drivers is outdated.
