Default USS Bowfin: Pearl Harbor Avenger

FYI

THe History Channel International has a program on the WWII career of the USS Bowfin. Will probably repeat several times, keep an eye out for it.

68,032 tons sunk, a Presidential Unit Citation and a Navy Unit Commendation aren't "hot" by your standards?

...espicially given the Rasher or Flasher with only around 100K tons were the highest scoring boats of the war (Tambor sank more vessels, but did not have the high score for tonnage).

something we could be watching up here, instead of CSI: NY and antiques roadshow among others, which have no historical value whatsoever

Amen to that.. getting tired of hearing how much a stupid armoire that Napolean himself used costs these days.. And truth fully I could really care less who killed Becky..
Honestly History Channel needs more shows that depict events with historical value..

With Regards,

Antique Roadshow is on the lifestyle channel here in Australia (my wife loves collecting antiques.)

The History channel isn't too bad, but some of the programs shouls be sunk without trace!

Excellent article on the Bowfin here as well. Noone mentioned it, so I hope it hasn't been posted before. Will definitely be watching for the History Channel show as well. Thanks.
