Default TM, MOH 1st Patrol?!!?

Well, I just succesfully completed my first war patrol in USS Greyling, and to my surprise, I was awarded a MOH!!

Granted, I did sink an escort carrier, and dealt other heavy blows to 2 convoys, but a MOH?? Wow.

Anyone else ever have this happen so early?

Depending on what you sunk in the two convoys, that may be a better patrol than any actual WWII patrol. So it wouldn't at all be unrealistic to get a MOH.

Trust me, if i knew where the medal qualification criteria was, they would have been changed MONTHS ago. As it is, as far as i know, its hardcoded.

Meh... I say its a total dice roll with 'variables' mixed in such as tonnage and damage and withstanding a dc attack.

Random I say :p

No kidding!

In my most recent campaign I have sunk 3 Shokaku (historically impossible), several European Passanger Ships, and untold 10s of Thousands of tons of other shipping . . . and all I get are 2 "Victory Cross"es.

But all that is flavor, and it doesn't take the fun out of sending them to the bottom.

Its stuff like the medals, that sometimes makes me think, that SH3, was ALOT easier to mod. There wasn't too much you couldn't touch. Here, theres a small list of things that are seemingly untouchable.
