I am not sure is that set in stone date , i runned into same task force 200 miles NW from LE on Oct 10th.They were coming from Skapa Flow and were heading towards Rocknall Bank. It was still in RB area when i reached it 4 days later. Then they went south.

I made a save file just prior to attacking this group of course.

This way i can relive this...over and over and over...

I was going to post some screenies of the mess i left. But all they really did was settle to the bottom with it being so shallow there and all.

But it was definately the best eye candy out the periscope i have seen.

The only thing that comes close is those non-escorted big oiler convoys down by Cuba.

Such a target rich enviroment! I'm sure you got awarm welcome when you got home. Hope you like it, as you are now enemy No.1 as far as the Royal Navy is concerned!

How did you escape Scapa flow? I always manage to sneak in early war but after I let loose the fish I get sent down under.

I would chalk it all up to luck in Scapa. That place is a nightmare but fun and challenging to get into in the same breath.

I just try to hug the coast after i raid the chicken coop.

Either that or just run like mad for the west exit.

Just stay away from the south entrance and you should be good.

PS...im a GWX user....

Not Scapa!

Loch Ewe!

Wish I could find some old screenshots I took.
Almost the same as Madmike's only with lots of explosions.

I decided to take them as they left port.
The narrow channel they are forced to use helps greatly.
Plus you get slightly more depth under the keel.
