Default Sinking the Hood.. by accident.

One time, I was hunting around scapa flow early in the war. Suddenly, this task force containing 2 battleships and 7 destroyers comes to party with me. In shallow water, about 50 meters, I started getting the data for the first battleship in line, it looked to be a revenge class. I fire my torpedoes at 4 spots: engine room, just before the rudder, and the forward magazine. For some reason, my last torpedo missed, so I must've underestimated the speed or something, which suprised me. The ship that I fired at sunk shortly afterward, and turns out it was the Hood. That was wonderful, and made up for the 12 hour beating I got from the destroyers

Yeah, they show up like that, out of the blue. If you keep your wits about you, and are halfway decently positioned, they go down like rocks.

While it is always a thrill to sink a capital ship, my hat is off to anyone who can blow apart a Passenger/Cargo in GWX. Those balsa-wood transporters of cork and bubble-wrap are far more difficult than the Hood.

You mean, blow it up and actually have it sink?

C'mon.... that never happens.... the two halves just float off in different directions. I know we've both posted screenshots of that....

Those little ships take at least 2 torpedoes. Always sink one of those as the first of my career. How many torpedoes it takes is how good my luck is

Doesn't happen. Can't convince me otherwise.

I sink them with one torpedo regularly.

The other day I nailed a small merchant with one torpedo and it actually exploded and broke in half. I was shocked.
