Who could take Gizzmore's place?

Who could take Gizzmore's place? He was tough, he was good, he was quick to notice the trolls,
he had good back up, and his CO was of course Neal, but who here could take his place?

Not me that's for sure, I'm too easy going, plus prejudice for Jesus.

Any volunteer's? Let's don't wait for one, let's volunteer someone oursleves.

You know like in the sailor for the month we had going till Sailor Steve won and that never got going again due to
SH4's coming out party.

I would think Sailor Steve would be out of the running due to his library card only covers the hours they are open.

Who does that leave?

The Avon Lady is my first choice even though she's a lady, she fights like a man.

Got a suggestion or want to volunteer yourselves ... that's one neat avatar they offer, plus Neal could throw in a custom sig or a sub sim almanac.

I suspect, the person chosen will be the last person we all expect.

The rules (by Neal) say that a mod gets called (asked by Neal), and if you are interested to serve as mod, best way of not becoming a mod is to advertise your candidation.

So leave it to Neal, he knows his classroom and can ask the people on his mind.

I would prefer this thread not going on with name lists. Since a mod has a job to do, he should not be elected on the basis of the crowd's sympathies and preferences in the main, but abilities as Neals sees them in a candidate. Since it is also about Neals rules for this place, Neal can decide better than anyone else whom he wants as a deputy to take care of them, and represent his intentions.

I was speaking from a crewman's point of view, for I have served many a Chief of the Boat. The final decision of course is always made in the wardroom.

Let's remember that an ideal candidate would have to be a member with a solid record here. Given the nature of the General forum, it's a tough assignment that requires a more responsible candidate than most forums.

I have a few ideas for who I'd nominate myself, but again, I'll leave it to Neal. I've no doubt he knows who they are anyways :p

Not commenting on my own opinion about me and with regard to that job, I have no illusions about that many people see me as a too controversial figure. You can't have a relaxed-when-possible moderation when you polarise people - and that effect I certainly have with quite some people here.
